My top picks for this week!

An evening in Ravenna, Italy

Hello everyone!

Mid-essay crisis on a Sunday evening, I thought I'd post a little something on one of my favourite holiday evening looks of this summer. Neither too dressy nor too casual, I'd call this the perfect chic apericena look!

Light crisp white wine, the best daiquiri's I've ever tasted and phenomenal Italian nibbles, this was the perfect outfit for a relaxed evening out with my lovely mother in the heart of Ravenna, Italy, at the Piazza del Popolo.

This simple yet stunning strappy cream cross bralet is one of my favourites! It just goes so well with anything, be it a leather bodycon skirt or a pair of high-rise skinnies. It was a gift from my fab friend Keshya, who randomly bought it for me last year (I'm guessing as a thank you for always making sure she was up on time for tutorials). You're very welcome, Kesh :) It's from boohoo.com, my go-to site for a versatile range of perfectly tight-fitted crops and dresses.

I've been a big fan of culottes for a while now, they are just incredible! I really love how you can dress them up with a pair of heels and a smart top, or simply dress them down with a pair of slip-ons or sandals (as I've so done). They are super comfortable and so light, making them ideal for a warm summer's evening, but also perfect for the winter, if you slip on some tights and a pair of heeled ankle boots. Funnily enough, I purchased these culottes on the day this picture was taken. I got them from Stradivarius (for an amazing 15€!).

The beautiful zebra print sandals I'm wearing (Banana Republic) were a birthday gift from my mother this summer, and I've been obsessed with them ever since (they are probably the most comfortable sandals I own!). I felt like the dove grey colour of the culottes alongside the soft cream bralet went perfectly with these shoes.

Last but not least, the classic blue-mirrored aviators. They were gift from my boyfriend - I seriously never took them off this summer, and I still carry them around with me now, in November, with the hope of some sun as an excuse to wear them (a bit sad, I know - I should probably stop that now). These sunglasses, with the H&M black clutch bag just felt like essential accessories to make the look pop by adding that little bit of colour.

Yep, writing this has definitely heightened my summer nostalgia, back to the essay now I guess...

I hope you've enjoyed this post, see you in the next one!

Love,

Nicole xx
