So my one post a week didn’t really work out during term time (anticipated) BUT now that it’s Christmas time (yaaaaaay), I’m back and ready to share another one of my favourite looks with you guys!
Technically this should have been posted two weeks ago, but being the stickler for perfection that I am, I wanted this post to be as detailed as it could be. So two weeks later, voilà!
Sequin embellished bodycon dress, TOPSHOP, £35
Long story short, I have been saving this dress for like…ok over a year. I always find myself buying dresses and even complete outfits, then doing the whole ‘yes, I’m definitely saving this for a SUPER SPECIAL occasion’ thing (jokes on me when that occasion is never really that close around the corner.)
I wore this dress for about two hours to my best friend's birthday party last year, but we didn't actually make it inside the club (classic "full capacity" London club nonsense). Naturally not wanting to waste an outfit, I kept telling myself that I would save it for another glamorous winter occasion, in other words, not until her birthday the following year. Happy birthday Rania (again) ❤

This sequin embellished bodycon dress is simply stunning, love love love! The sleeves for me say it all, I mean it really is the perfect Christmas time night out dress. Before getting this, sleeves were never on my checklist when it came to choosing the perfect party dress. The ever-present thought of clubs being too hot 'n sweaty for long sleeves made them a no-go for me. I laugh now, but to the naive me of twelve months ago, a long sleeved dress seemed something not far off from a woollen Christmas jumper, oh Nicole.
Last year, I didn't really pay much attention to the fact that the top part of the dress looked something like a mock turtle neck choker. With 2016 being the return of the statement choker, this 100% gives the dress a little 2016 edge.
*Disclosure*
When I first purchased the dress, it was actually very low-cut, i.e. the cleavage busting type. Proud A-cup that I am, sadly it was just so low-cut that it looked, well, very odd. With a little bit of fashion DIY, I figured that by sewing it up by a few centimetres, it would be just perfect (and it worked!)

The NINA THIGH HIGH BOOTS in black faux suede, PUBLIC DESIRE, £40
First things first, those who know me know that I am an over the knee boot girl, and these black suede booties are just a dream! Apart from being super comfortable (a moment of appreciation for chunky block heels), the fit is just perfect!
I'm very particular with long boots and will not wear them unless they are essentially of a sock fit style, so the tight fit of these is fantastic. I've been obsessed with Public Desire since I discovered their aesthetically pleasing Instagram page around two years ago, and if that wasn't enough, their prices are very student friendly and they almost always have online sales (check them out at www.publicdesire.com).

Reasons why these boots were just more than ideal for a night out:
1) It was two degrees outside
2) Stilettos and freezing feet in the winter are just not that great
3) My legs were nice and toasty all night
4) They are sooooooo comfy
5) Just look at them *insert lovestruck emoji face*
Accessories wise, I kept it to a minimal (just because the dress and boots said it all), but I just made sure to add some silver to complement the dress. The only accessories I went for were my daily essentials: a silver heart bead bracelet, my Pandora princess tiara and birthstone rings, and a simple pair of silver stud earrings. Make-up was also very minimal, I'm not the greatest MUA, but I decided a red lip would go really well, just to brighten up the overall look. I mean, you can never go wrong with a red lip.

I hope you enjoyed this post! See you in the next one (very soon, I hope)
